 The indigo dyeing was done by an artisan in Wakayama Prefecture who uses domestic indigo, sake, lime, and lye in a traditional fermentation dyeing technique.

 By repeatedly dyeing the fabric, it is finished in a beautiful color with depth that can only be achieved with indigo.
